This is so me. It's a perfect description of this weird class of people Myers-Briggs has decided to call "introverts." Of course, I never knew I was an introvert until I read the article. I assumed everyone was like me, and that they, too, felt annoyed when people started talking to them in lines at the grocery store. But apparently they don't.
So reading the article was good for me, too, in a backwards kind of way. Now I comprehend that there are huge numbers of people--most of them, in fact!--who like going to parties and making small talk with people they don't know. These are the people who wave at their neighbors and shout hello at me as I'm trying to quietly duck down an alley undetected. They like connections and dislike silence.
Wow. It's just so weird for a person like me.
