I am a benevolent ruler, although 30% evil

...And perhaps that's all one can ever hope for. I got this profile from Kingdomality, a very silly site that tracks your medieval occupation for you:

Your distinct personality, The Benevolent Ruler might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. You are the idealistic social dreamer. Your overriding goal is to solve the people problems of your world. You are a social reformer who wants everyone to be happy in a world that you can visualize. You are exceptionally perceptive about the woes and needs of humankind. You often have the understanding and skill to readily conceive and implement the solutions to your perceptions. On the positive side, you are creatively persuasive, charismatic and ideologically concerned. On the negative side, you may be unrealistically sentimental, scattered and impulsive, as well as deviously manipulative. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.

Onto less benevolent concerns: lately I've been making note of my pet peeves. Here are some of them:

1. people who make a fuss in restaurants.
2. people who stand too close behind you in line and breathe down your ear.
3. salespeople who ask, "Can I help you?" and then have absolutely no idea how to help you at all.
4. people who shout out the lines in movies before the characters say them.
5. drivers who practically stop dead in the middle of a busy street before making a right hand turn, as if daring you to bonk into their rear ends.
6. erasers that leave a long black smear instead of actually erasing.
7. cable service people who tell you they'll arrive somewhere in a "window" between 9 and 3 pm, so would you please mind waiting around all day.

This list will no doubt continue to grow.
